Solution

This is a known issue when CRM accelerators already installed, which is the default setup for the MS CRM 4.0 VPC released in April/May 2009.

The work around is removing just the RSS menu from the ISV.config Root area (the same area where our c360 tools menus appears), using an xml editor such as XML Notepad 2007. Re-installing or repairing the installation after removing the RSS menu, and then re-adding the RSS menu to the ISV.config Root area resolves the issue. This will be resolved is a future release.

If you don’t have CRM Accelerators installed proceed with the following:

  1. For versions 4.0.5.68 to current, start with step “a”
  2. For versions prior to 4.0.5.68, skip to step “d”

    1. Rerun the installations
    2. Uncheck the box marked “Validate Schema”.
    3. The generated Installation Summary Page will show the full attempted ISV.config and Sitemap import.

d.      Send the page from this location “C:\Program Files\c360 Solutions\V4\Organizations” to c360 Support to fix the attempted import. (for versions prior to 4.0.5.68 ignore steps

e.       Also send a copy of the state.xml file from this location “C:\Program Files\c360 Solutions\V4\Organizations\OrgName\ConfigurationState”

You will receive a fixed CRM Integration file for that product.

The State.xml file will be repaired after the c360 product integration has been successful.

  1. Import the Fixed file

a.       In the Navigation Pane, click Settings, click Customization, and then click Import Customizations.

b.      Click Browse to locate an XML file or a compressed (.zip) file that contains customizations and settings exported from Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

a.       OR –

b.      Type the path and file name of an XML file or a compressed (.zip) file that contains exported customizations and settings in the Import File box.

c.       Click Upload.
After the file is processed, the list of customizations and configurations from the file is displayed. If any of the items could not be successfully processed, a dialog box will display error messages.

d.      To import all customizations, on the Actions toolbar, click Import All Customizations.

a.       OR –

b.      To import selected customizations, select the customizations you want to import, and then on the Actions toolbar, click More Actions, and then click Import Selected Customizations.

Additional Comments

If installing multiple c360 products and CRM integration fails for more than one product,

the above steps need to be performed one product at a time for proper integration.
